Michael Todoran
Executive Producer
Artist, Executive Producer of 'The Landscape Architecture Podcast', Zanja Madre Studios, Trajan Photography, and Lecturer at Cal Poly Pomona
Michael Todoran is a native Angeleno practicing landscape design at Zanja Madre Studios in Los Angeles, CA. He has worked in small, mid-size, and global landscape architecture firms and designed projects from the smallest residential gardens to complex international podium projects. Michael's interest in discovering and sharing stories of landscape architecture led him to launch The Landscape Architecture Podcast. Since its inception, he has produced over 60 interviews with the luminaries in the profession.
When asked by the Chair of the Department of Landscape Architecture at Cal Poly Pomona; Andrew Wilcox if Michael wanted to teach a film class he recognized this was an opportunity to apply an accumulation of artistic pursuits into the medium of film and enthusiastically agreed.
The class began with student-led design charettes determining that the film should share a story with a strong sense of civic responsibility combined and a central character that is already in motion.
This framework transitioned into sharing the story of fellow Cal Poly Pomona lecturer and Urban Ecologist Kat Superfisky.
